The purpose of this video is to give you a quick overview of all the steps you'll need to follow in order to apply to Nightingale College. Additional details on all these steps can be found in the Course Catalog. You can also ask your admissions advisor for help with anything along the way. To enroll in any of our nursing programs, please complete the following steps.
First, you will begin by interviewing with an admissions advisor. After the Discover interview, your advisor will send you an email with more information and additional resources to review and consider. Discuss the program expectations with your support system, employer, and anyone else needs to be on board with supporting you in this decision.
Before you can be invited to apply to the program, you will attend a commitment interview where we encourage you to ask additional questions, review the admission steps, and determine if Nightingale is a good fit. If you decide to move forward, your advisor will send you an invite to apply. This will require you to set up an account in the applicant portal.
Before you pay the application fee, review the expectations and program details. Then, upload the required documents such as state issued photo ID and proof of high school graduation or equivalent and fill out the application. Once your applicant portal profile is at 100%, you will be prompted to pay your application fee.
After you pay for the application fee, you will need to schedule your entrance exam. You will receive all the necessary scheduling information for your initial attempt via email once your application has been processed.
Now that you've submitted your application and scheduled your entrance exam, you will need to submit your official transcripts and fill out your FAFSA application. If you have questions about this process, please email transcripts@nightingale.edu for more information.
Next, take the Entrance Exam. And that's it! After you take the exam, your advisor will reach out to you with the results. If you don't pass the exam the first time don't panic. You can schedule and retake. Ask your testing coordinator for a voucher and head to the scheduling website. You have three attempts per year to pass. Once you've passed your entrance exam, you may also choose to take an advanced placement exam if you qualify.
Be sure to maintain weekly communication with your admissions advisor for step by step coaching through the process. Congratulations! Once you've completed these steps, you'll have successfully applied to Nightingale College.
